SUMMARY:Apprentice Coach Program (ACP)
DESCRIPTION:ALTIS Apprentice Coach Program\, in partnership with Gill Athletics\, is a self-directed\, experiential learning experience which allows visiting coaches the freedom to interact\, observe\, and engage directly with our Mentor Coaches and world-class athletes as they complete a week of training. \nEach year the Gill Athletics ACP offers coaches from across the globe the opportunity to visit our base and learn at real-time pace in a real-world\, high-performance environment. The ACP program is designed to be flexible and bespoke\, with our elite coaches Dan Pfaff\, John Godina\, Andreas Behm and Stuart McMillan on hand to give you a unique insight into our methods and practices. \nThe ALTIS Apprentice Coach Program runs for five days. Each day begins by 9.30am when athletes\, coaches and therapists meet at the track for pre-training Performance Therapy and equipment set-up. Visiting coaches then have the opportunity for a self-directed morning to experience the ALTIS training methodology\, whilst observing and interacting at their own pace. \nFollowing the morning track-based sessions\, athletes and coaches alike then head off to EXOS for weight-room based training\, giving visiting coaches the opportunity to observe and interact with bespoke physical preparation coaching first hand. \nFollowing a complimentary lunch\, the afternoon gets underway with either a lecture from our ALTIS coaches\, or one of our special guests – which to date\, have included:  Jonas Dodoo (Speedworks\, London)\, Dr Gerry Ramogida (Fortius Sport & Health\, Vancouver) and Nick Winkelman (EXOS). \nPoolside chats then close each day\, offering you a unique chance to engage informally with a global panel of coaches on topics of your choosing\, as well as quiz ALTIS coaches on their experiences and philosophies.
